Phew! It’s been a busy few weeks. I had the wonderful fortune to travel to Norton, Massachusetts at the end of June to attend the International Herb Symposium, held on the grounds of the beautiful Wheaton College.
I took amazing classes with some of my favourite herbalists like Phyllis Light, jim mcdonald, Rosalee de la Foret, 7Song and so many more!
Doug Elliott was in fine storytelling form, Tieraona Low Dog gave an amazing keynote address, and guest speaker David Hoffman delivered a rousing and inspiring call to occupy herbalism.
In the meantime, I’m spending every sunny day outside wildcrafting, gathering plants and working in the garden.
I was out every day this weekend, under blue skies and sunshine and I couldn’t have been happier.
The jars and shelves are quickly filling up with beautiful, fantastically scented plants.
I’m working hard getting ready for Herbfest. I’m so excited for this event. It will be my very first time attending, as I’ve always been out out of town for one reason or another in previous years. Not only is it my first time, but I’m also going to be a vendor and will be leading two plant walks! If you’re free on Sunday, July 28th come on out and say ‘hi’.
